Flexo Laser
FlexoLaser Digital Laser Imagers
Finally, a laser imaging system for mask ablation of water or solvent-wash digital photopolymer flexo plates, sleeves and digital letterpress and dry offset plates. It’s not just a complete system. It’s all the best thinking.
FlexoLasers are designed to achieve exceptionally high-quality output through the use of superior Fiber Laser technology with multi-beam optics. Their maintenance-free design means low service costs and reliable/continuous production for years of service.
No other production technology can guarantee the same performance on a printing press. Dot gain is substantially reduced for all tonal values. Highlights can be printed to extremely low levels – even at high resolution. Perfect vignettes are realized due to accurate dot control. It’s a marriage of the latest plate processing technology and software, backed by a company with 40+ years of flexo experience.
Digital flexo plates are covered with a carbon layer and do not need film. Eliminating film, chemicals and equipment results in better process stability. Dirt and dust problems are a thing of the past.
FlexoLasers are compatible with all commercial ablative masked photopolymer plate materials, whether solvent or water-wash. There is no limitation to plate thicknesses. Choose from three sizes of FlexoLasers: The “Piccolo” for label and narrow web applications; the “Medio” for mid-web applications; and the “Largo” for applications up to 80″. Different versions are offered depending on productivity required, with imaging speeds from 1 to 5.0 sqm/h to meet your production and budget needs. Hybrid versions are available for combined production of plates and sleeves. FlexoLasers are upgradeable if you require faster, more powerful production at a future date.
FlexoLasers come with PixFlow software workflow package that connects with creative multimedia, press and post-press workflows for production efficiencies. Best of all, FlexoLasers are backed by A&V, with a nationwide staff thoroughly knowledgeable about the fine points of flexo.

Water-wash processors like the Orbital X and inline-incline system complement the FlexoLaser.
